What I'd do if you haven't already is save good boxes when you go out shopping. They don't take up that much space and you can collapse most of them down. And they're nice to just have around. Everyone should collect solid boxes. That way when you need sturdy boxes you have them. A lot of self-service bagging stores will have them.
Totes are only really worth it for heavy stuff (think dishes) and things you're worried about getting wet if you aren't taking them out right away. Stuff you'd store in a basement. Plus MUH BIODEGRADABILITY.
Clothes and blankets make for excellent padding when you don't have the money / too late to go get some.

You know, I saw that, and I was gonna stop, but then the arguing picked up again, and at this point I'm more disappointed about the reactions that we're getting to people complaining about trumpposting than I am about the trumpposting itself(especially since said reactions are very, very obviously from a certain mod. A lot of posters that I've really liked have either left already or are still barely around but have openly expressed to me that they want to stop posting on here. IRC has unfortunately become a very big part of the /mai/ community, and the problems from there leak out on to the board whether people realize it or not. I'll put it bluntly. Most of the mods, while nice people, are very terrible at modding. Action is rarely taken against problem users despite multiple complaints to mods, because people are too worried about hurting feelings rather than doing their actual jobs. Certain people being allowed to stay due to some kind of favoritism, causing people who have had issues with them to leave. And then when these people actually are banned, they are, for some unknown reason, allowed to stay on the board(despite their irc rulebreaking also encompassing board rulebreaking). I didn't really know where to post this so might as well here. Keisuke decided to surprise me with tickets to the opera today. It's one of my favorites and I'm really excited to see it with him, even if it's just on the silver screen instead of in person. Kristine Opolais is also a lovely, emotive actress with a pleasant voice so I'm sure it'll be a really good performance even if she scoops a little too much for my personal preference.

That could seriously be a final solution if we continue having so much stuff buildup here. It creates a quite PHP forum-like atmosphere, too, with same-topic threads being made just because it's a pain to go through the catalog and dig up the old thread, particularly by newfags. This is something I've experienced, and I think we could use a sticky with links to other long-lasting threads, but it would probably be overkill. This problem is exacerbated by Hotwheels still not giving us pages past 2, months after the Josh affair.
Another solution, not involving a total wipe, would be just to limit the amount of board pages to the minimum possible - 5, right? - and let threads die their natural deaths rather than get resurrected after a year. We're a slow board, we seriously don't need 17 pages - in my opinion, which other people might think is wrong - and it's a bit wasteful with the server. Note that this would still wipe 12 pages' worth of content the first time around, so it does involve a mass wipe, just not a complete one.
On an unrelated note, I have written a small script for us namefags who post as Anonymous accidentally on this board, or under their /mai/ names elsewhere. I often see this sort of mishap here, and it triggers my 'tism, doubly so when it happens to me. It might not do so for you, but if it does, paste this into your User JS tab in 8ch's options:

I'd be for less pages. You can set them as low as one. For /mai/ three seems like it may be a good number.
Lots of reasons for it. Searchability, "Freshness" of content, simpler, etc. Also solves the problem of someone new deciding to bump a lot of filler threads. This way the junk threads will actually die.
There's other stuff you could do too but cutting the pages down does seem like it could fix a lot of it. Just make sure to enable the max threads per hour thing so we're not too easy to wipe in a raid and give a bit of notice in case there's stuff people want to save for some reason.
Even if it doesn't work out I don't see the harm in trying it.
I wouldn't worry too much about the post rate though. We seem to consistently stay at around 70-80 users with a bit of a variable post rate but I don't think it's that bad.

I just went through a couple of thumb drives, trying to find some space to back up a few files, and I found my long lost collection of screencaps I made when I first played Togainu no Chi. That was two computers ago.

My problem is though that there is little screen time devoted to Nonon in her source material and she is almost never shown to be truly affectionate to someone or have a more complex personnality.
