She's on the right. I didn't expect the difference to be that small.

I used to think we'd look weird together but I've grown to accept it and even find it kind of cute at times.

In accordance with >>37220 my headcanon height of hers is ~146cm now, but she's still growing. As a full-grown woman she will be at ~155cm. She's about one head shorter than me.

However, anime characters have a larger head compared to the rest of the body, so it would be less than a head after all if I were 2D.

(In Youmu's case, her official art and fanart usually depict her with a ratio between 1:4 and 1:5.)

I used to have a bit of a height complex, so I couldn't imagine her being much smaller than me.

But now I think it's a very huggable height.

I used her teammate Natala (the male) as a rough estimate of 5'9, the average height of a male. She comes up to about his chest, and since I would be the same height as him, I was able to go from there of how tall she would be.

The girl next to Remus seems to be as tall as Kurome. If you ignore perspective, Remus is a head smaller than her (~4'7?). But Remus (and the one on the far right) clearly walk behind the rest of the group. In fact, the girl on the far right seems taller than Kurome to me.

Remus looks more like something between 4'10 and 5'0 to me.

Looking at this pic, Remus actually seems to be pretty tall. Though honestly, I think this is more a fault of the artist as he does get a bit inconsistent with his characters at times. He gave Remus large breasts in one panel, and then made them small again.

Another Picture from the same scene. Remus is, I assume to be, the smallest silhouette. Of course, they are all in a circle during the scene, so it may just be whoever is farthest away during the scene. Of course, the circle may be a bit different, considering Gin (the girl with the long ponytail) has now changed position from being next to Natala, and is now opposite from him.

Remus is slightly crouched, and I guess we can assume that the man she has sliced is of average height. Looking at this, you could safely assume that if she were to rise to full height, she would be at about chest level with the man. Placing her height at where you said she would be.

This one is a bit odd, as the man she is executing is standing completely up, yet she is at about head level with him. Again, I think this may be a fault of the artist though.

So, I think you may be right in that Remus is actually 4'10. Which would put her at chest level with me, perfect for hugging.

No, if we took both statements into consideration, she'd be somewhere between "small girl under 10" and "height of a 10-14 year old girl". ZUN says that you can change the heights of the Touhou characters if you want though. A 4'5 (I rounded it up to 4'5 because in feet 137 cm is 4.49475) Remi is cute, but I think a 4'9 Remi is even cuter.

Plus, if you took PMiSS into total consideration, Gensokyo would be a very brutal place to live, and tengu are suddenly very honest people.

I always wondered what her real height was and after seeing this thread I finally got around to measuring it myself. She's a bit shorter than I imagined her to be, which I guess is because her legs look fairly long in some of her official art. I'd have to say that I like this difference more than what I had in mind; she's just tall enough for hugs to be comfy, but just short enough to bully

Interesting that this thread should come back to the top now. Just last week I was lamenting (and not for the first time) the fact that Yuuko doesn't have an official set of stats like the main route girls.

This time, however, I had my "Rain Man" moment. Why not just measure the sprites? Turns out the height difference between Lilly and Rin is a nice easy 10cm, and that seems to give me 44 pixels, so ~4.4 px/cm.

This gives me a rather pleasing value for Yuuko, 164cm, +/- fuck knows what (because heels vs flats, hair, Shizune and Misha are supposed to be the same height, and they're ~1cm out in the sprites, etc etc…), so I thought, "eh, that's as close as I'll get".

…made me feel smart, at any rate. Hopefully it inspires someone else to discover something new about their beloved.
