/mai/ have you ever took on a big project of, in honor of, about, etc your waifu?

We've had some really nice threads for posting OC and creating it ourselves with the drawing challenge last month and the writing one this month, we've also had two OC threads so far and a nice thread for cooking projects, so it's clear a lot of people here are creative in all kind of ways.

Now this thread isn't exactly for posting that stuff, but discussing other projects you've done or want to do for your waifu.

Is there anything you've ever made just for you and her?

What about something you shared publicly? Was it on /mai/ or another site?

Is there anything you'd like to make or start doing for her in your spare time in the future? Is there something you really wish you could drop everything and start working on for her right now but can't?

Do you already have a project you finished or one that you work on and off on?

When you create something, is it to honor your waifu and create more content of her, or is it a way to personally connect to her, or maybe it's both? Something totally different?

I've spent over a year amassing dakis of her after being inspired from talking to someone in monstergirl thread on 4/jp/ to make a snake pit of her

it's cost me around 1000 dollars

a lot of stress

and I've learned a lot

But my last daki just shipped, and my pit will be done soon.

I've thought about what i would want to start working on next, and i've always been interested in sculpting

maybe i could start learning with her as my muse

I could try to work my way towards making a marble statue of her

if i get good at it i could break into the waifu market

i'm going to do that now, thanks star

I've found that she's always been my muse.

If it counts, I work on making still picture music videos of her. Its a bigger project then I thought it'd be initially that's consumed two years so far. Only one out of the three that I have planned is close to being called completed. But to really see her come to life through animation has been well worth it.

I have no regrets for it and don't feel any reason to rush it.

I'm not entirely sure if I'll share it when its finished, but I'm doing it both to honor her and personally connect with her.

The second major project is writing, but its more on pause until the video is over.

More on and off is sculpting her, because the one good talent I have is pottery, but I can only do that when I can afford the materials. My income is too sporadic that leaving any sculpture of her unfinished from materials, improper firing (i.e. the kitchen stove), or lack of paint wouldn't feel right.

Practicing art for drawing her is a way off future goal, but I don't worry about it.

>marble statue

Sculptorfag here. Nice to see someone else has that goal of a life size waifu statue.

I'd suggest practicing first with clay or wax before you do marble. Its a lot more forgiving of a material. Clay is often used as the model once you start carving anyways.

Once you get good, porcelain is easier to sculpt than marble because like clay its free form. I suggest this if you want to create smaller figures of her in an elegant form.

If you want to just jump in marble, practice with foam blocks and figuring out how to scale in 3D.

The only problem you'll find is that materials are expensive as fuck and unless you build your own kiln, you are limited to where you can fire. So with the scale of your waifu, you'd have to build her in pieces through clay.

Its definitely doable though. And don't bother taking classes on sculpting, your better off getting the materials on your own and learning how to sculpt faces from youtube.

That always makes me laugh for some reason.

I've been planning on sewing a plushie of his avian form for a while now. I have the rough pattern done, but this isn't really something I can work on in a dorm; I'm hoping that I can finish it over winter break! I know some other people in the fandom who'd probably be interested in one too, so if things go well I'm planning on taking commissions and making a few more. I've never sewn a plush before but I made a hooded dress last year so hopefully it won't be difficult for me.

I also draw him, but I don't consider that a project.

See the metal silhouette of Sui and Sou on the second shelf. I made that myself.

My proudest work by far.

I also made a few 2hu necklaces, sold one to one of the youmubros, I think I still have em around, don't remember who I have other than flan mystia and wriggle (wont sell those), might have a patchy? not sure

This is only nominally related, but any bump is a good bump, right?

My waifu has a papercraft model out and I thought it would fit in well with this thread. In case anyone else needs a nurse around the house, too bad, all you get is this papercraft model.
