If you think that any *chan board is going to lead to "interesting development" for the left then you're already pretty screwed.

As I see it, this board is basically for asking questions and getting answers and sources from a ML perspective, i.e. not Trots, Anarchists, Left-Coms, and whatnot.

I'm pretty sure if you lumped liberals, conservatives, libertarians and fascists into a "capitalism" board it'd be pretty incoherent too.

I tried discussing Marxism on /leftypol/, but it's majority liberals with some anarchists, and some revisionists. When some fucking anarchist admits that he believes that revolution is a rational problem of morals (muh non agression principuhl), there is nothing to discuss further.

We materialists shouldn't waste time arguing with dyed in the wool idealists. They'll never contribute to any cause.

Yeah it seems like there is a huge qualitative difference between the ways of thinking of Marxists and liberals. They don't grasp the essence of it. I wonder what the ideal way to convert them is though?

I don't see how this place is an "echo chamber" considering that countries/parties that claimed to be Marxist-Leninist encompassed the CPSU under Stalin and post-Stalin, China under Mao and his successors, the DPRK, Albania, Cuba, etc. Quite a lot of room for debates.

Just not debates about how the Bolsheviks were the "bad guys" of 1917 and how the Mensheviks and Social-Revolutionaries were true communists or whatever.

Marxist materialism is to idealism as atheism is to religion, i.e. incommensurable lines of thought that have no middle ground to stand on when sides are ready to follow the logic to to the end.

If you check /leftypol/ out you will find many threads with thoughtful and civilized discussion. We even tried to set up a debate board >>>/pvq/ between /pol/ and /leftypol/ to have the 'discussion' they claimed they missed. They weren't interested.

Despite what the ignorant /pol/lacks might say, /leftypol/ is not liberal, but leftist. In the board tagline it mentions anarchists, socialists, communists, Marxists by name and then says all viewpoints welcome yo encoirag debate.

Most people on there are either socialists or anarchists. /anarcho/ thinks it's full of authoritarian leninists but we know those hang out on /Marx/.

/leftypol/ is a really good board and please don't fall for the bullshit of the wannabe neo-nazis of /pol/.
