>>2038>>2038Well, being a Filipino and coming from a long line of ethnic mixing (Grandmother was the daughter of two Spanish Mestizos, Grandfather was a Sangley (Chinese) Mestizo, father was white), the whole "diminishment of racial traits" through ethnic intermixing is all hogwash. First of all, the whole thesis has no scientific basis. Genetics simply does not work like that, and neither does natural selection. Though there are exceptions (prime examples of exceptions being skin-tone and eye coloration), on the most part, the basis of genetic inheretance of traits is shown in the pic. In most inheretable traits, there exists a Dominant and Recessive allele. Two dominant alleles or one Domanant allelle with one Recessive allele translates to a dominant trait, while two Recessive alleles lead to a recessive trait.
One thing Nazis really hate is that much of what they socially accept to be “white” traits tend to be recessive. Therin lies a problem. To the Nazi, white is good, and anything else is bad because they feel that it’s good and that they feel that not being white is bad. The assertion that certain “racial traits” being better than other “racial traits” has no other basis than on emotion. For instance, a very defining feature of what people see as “white” is fair skin. And here’s the thing about fair skin: objectively, fair skin is more prone to sunburn than more colored skin is. Just like dog-breeding, Nazi “eugenics” is built not around the promotion of traits that better fit the environment (which actually tends to happen by itself without human interferance quite well via natural selection), but entirely on whether they feel it looks good.
Another rediculous thing about this whole ideological framework is that even the very definition of race is, like many cultural constructs, is increadibly fluid. It’s one thing to argue ethnicity or nationality, which tend to have more clear socially accepted definitons, the concept of the “white” race is all over the place. On the one hand the term “Aryan” was derived from the Sanskrit (Classical Indian) word “arya” to signify nobility, and the name of the country “Iran” is derived from the Proto-Iranian “Aryana,” literally meaning the land of the Aryans. Are the swarthy-skinned Persians or the dark-skinned Indians “white”? Are Arabs white? For many years, up until arab refugees started flooding into Europe as a result of the wars within their homelands, arabs were considered part of the “white race” by some. Hitler himself held kind views towards Islamic theology. The term “aryan” was used by some, before the rise of fascism of course, to refer to those that spoke a language from the Proto-Indo-European ethno-linguistic family, an idea the original nazis subscribed to. The problem of using the term to refer to whites is that, by strict definitions, neither Hungarians nor Finns would be considered “white.” Are Jews “white”? Most nazis would vehemently screech “NO”! However, if you ask the average non-anti-semitic person what they thought of the jews ‘racially’ (at least for ashkenazim), they would reply that they were white. Almost every principle within the Nazi ideology is emotional reaction, and the ideology itself is unadulterrated Reaction.
