Dearest Comrades, following the collapse of the old administration I have taken it upon myself to lead us into our glorious Communist future. The old Party administration was old and decrepit. Which is why as of now a new era is upon us.
As you can see, this board had begun to die as a result of Stalinist ideals. Now under my leadership I will revive this board under the principles of Democratic Centralism guided by the Marxist-Leninist philosophy.
Dearest Comrades, let us all unite!
As of now I am issuing a number of preliminary reforms as authorised by the Politburo and Party Secretariat.
1) This board will now serve the dual function of fun and serious discussion.
2) I have removed the rule which said no shitposting. I consider it the right of every Comrade to be able to shitpost freely.
3) We are no longer "Anonymous", now we are "Comrade".
4) I have removed all wordfilters and undone all bans issued by the previous administration.
5) The administration will no longer ban people for disagreeing with it or being anti-Communist.
6) I will be introducing further reforms at the behest of the Party administration including CSS changes and more fun changes.
7) Remember to praise your Comrade-President.

What definition of "Stalinist" are you using? If you want to be more open to supporters of Brezhnev, Castro and whatnot then that's okay, but beyond that the lines between /marx/ and /leftypol/ are going to blur.

What the fuck, man? Stalin is the foundation for anti-revisionist Marxism-Leninism. What happened to the old admin?
No.2152
>>2150>>2151The old admin was removed for his unfaithfulness to the revolutionary struggle (by which i mean he did not log in for that long that I could claim the board). I want to broaden the boards appeal a bit more so it gets some more traffic. I am using the term Stalinist in the manner of a buzzword for over-regulation. You must lighten up a little Comrades.
No.2153
>>2152Alright. I don't mind, I just think it's important to separate /marx/ from /leftypol/.
To me "Marxist-Leninist" for the purpsoe of /marx/ means anyone who upholds Marx, Engels and Lenin but who does not uphold Trotsky and whose opinion of Stalin is at least somewhat favorable. This means a lot of variety but also a fair bit of common ground as far as discussions go.

>>2154I also didn't mind the wordfilter on it, if only because it made for slightly amusing reading whenever someone would come in and go on about how Stalin was the worst thing ever and treat "Stalinism" as if it were actually a thing.
As far as revisionism and anti-revisionism go, I'd say this board is for those who self-identify as MLs (and, again, do not uphold Trotsky and who hold a semi-favorable view towards Stalin.) Whether you think the USSR post-Stalin was still socialist, whether you're a Maoist, pro-Hoxha, pro-Castro, etc. I don't think you need to view the post-Stalin Soviet leadership as revisionist to qualify in the context of /marx/, so long as your attacks on Stalin aren't "he was the worst thing ever."

Look, we're all marxists, we're all socialists, can we stop fighting about what those words mean and specific strategic or organisational details pertaining to 19th/20th century Europe, and start talking about applying those ideas today?
I know it's the nature of the left to splinter and divide (unlike conservatism, which by its nature doesn't want to change its mind ever and so stays neatly ideologically homogenous, for the most part) but does that really mean we have to be sectarian? This is what prevents us from acheiving anything.

Look, we're all marxists, we're all socialists, can we stop fighting about what those words mean and specific strategic or organisational details pertaining to 19th/20th century Europe, and start talking about applying those ideas today? There's two problems here:
1. You implicitly assume that Marxism-Leninism is outdated ("19th/20th century Europe");
2. You assume that there's no greater significance to the struggle between Marxism-Leninism and other tendencies beyond "infighting."
If you want a "anyone who claims to be a leftist" board there's already /leftypol/.
