Is there any way to raidcalize the left in the United States? I used to think you simply needed an agressive movement and growth on the side of the radical right and then a counter movement would open up on the left. However, the Tea party happened, and then the left did absolutly jack shit.

Most people in the United States, especially young people, seem to simply not care or understand whats actually happening in the political sphere.

Is there anything to get the American youth seriously support leftist ideas? Instead of either supporting the far right republicans or the moderate right democrats?

It's hard to say. Think about the 1960s, there was a lot of radical activity and organizations back then. Now we can see growing discontent with all the OWS stuff (which the bourgeois media tries to shrug off as meaningless and purposeless). But the OWS people are thinking along class lines. I think it's just something that has to grow over time I guess. Communists should do propaganda and organize protests and worker's movements and strikes and such along the way to shape the movement in the right direction. People might say it's impossbile for the developed world to have a socialist revolution but it's actually at the core of basic Marxism. Living conditions are also on the decline in the US. So I think communists should work to shape and foster discontent among the masses and organize them, so that when the conditions are right a revolution can occur.

I just wish the CPUSA weren't basiclly a branch of the democratic party. There is no strong base to get things started.

True. Maybe as things grow more severe, more Marxists will come out of the woodwork. Maybe start locally and try to expand and link up with others. Hard to say, I don't have much activity near where I live so I'm not really sure what is the best thing for me to do.

The capitalists and the politicians that associate themselves with them must be provoked into making idiotic gaffes for the people's amusement, twitter is almost a readymade source of this. Take anything that sounds sociopathic, social darwinistic, or cold hearted and exhibit it before everyone.

Other than that you can take all the crappy issues that they are concerned with (gender stuff, the environment, etc) and wed them to Marxism. Engel's History of Private Property, The Family, and The State is useful for this, though it is based on discredited history, the idea of the female as the first class distinction through division of labour is an excellent way of understanding it.
