I could never get into the Z/X series, I think they depend too much on the quick movement mechanics. The slower pace of the classic series is better in my opinion.

I like classic, it is just that MM2 is trash, and is only popular cus nostalgia. (MM6 is trash too, but nobody likes it anyway).

Out of the metaseries, I'd say it's a tossup between Z3 and Z4. I really liked Z3 more overall but god damn the last mission in Z4 was epic.

also SF 1&3 have some great characterization and are definitely worth a play.

The best Mega Man game is actually 3.
