I forget stuff. Very easily. I will be told something say yes to it and the very moment I finish the word I will forget what I just said yes too. I live with many sticky notes. I am 19 so I don't think its alzheimer's but I am terrified of going out to places or even getting a job. I wouldn't want a boss to get mad at me for asking him to repeat something like 6 times. I am scared.

I was really scared. I don't get banned sorry

See a neurologist. This kind of short term memory loss can be a lot of different things, not just Alzheimer's. Maybe you're just naturally kind of forgetful and maybe some anxiety you have makes it worse. But it could also be vascular dementia, hepatic encephalopathy (especially if you're an alcoholic or have hepatitis), MS or a million other things. It's worth looking into, especially if you feel like this is new or getting worse.

My memory problems are anterograde, meaning I don't forget things as much as I never remember them in the first place.

I have ADD and I am subjectively very forgetful. Objectively my working and recall memory are within average. A good boss won't do that.

You're 19, you don't have fucking Alzheimer's idiot, take that flag down and stop self-diagnosing yourself. And go see a doctor, not an online imageboard filled with other people bullshitting around their fluff diagnoses and also self-diagnosing. God, I hate this board.(USER GOT PTSD FROM 8CHAN FOR THIS POST)

I've been becoming more and more forgetful in the past few months and it's terrifying.

I've always been naturally forgetful. I have to do all sorts of things so I can remember to do stuff - set alarms on my phone, leave objects in unusual places so that it jogs my memory, leave little notes all over the place. If I don't do this stuff then I just happily go through my day shitposting on the internet or whatever. In fact I just remember that my Dad asked me to use the pressure-washer to get all the bird-shit off the driveway, and he's due home in less than half an hour. Great. Now he'll see the driveway is wet and he'll assume I left it until the last minute due to laziness, again. My parents think I'm lazy when I genuinely just don't remember tasks they've asked me to do. Feels bad man, I always feel like a disappointment.

I'm 20 and I forget shit all the fucking time but it's probably because of all the pill popping and weed smoking I do. It sounds like more than anything else you're just getting anxious over some imagined scenario just because of a minor detail in your life: >I am terrified of going out to places or even getting a job. I wouldn't want a boss to get mad at me for asking him to repeat something like 6 times. I would say anxiety is the problem here.

ADHD, natch. Do you have a bad fidgeting habit? Had an overactive childhood?

>>3841 Do more new and interesting things.
Doing so will help clear your mind and make more room for new memories.
I used to have an amazing memory, but later I got a tendency to forget things.
It got worse till I started mixing things up a bit. Do some small things different, and a few bigger ones once in a while. (no need to overdo it, for small things try new foods for example. big things might include starting to work out, getting a (new) job)
If that doesn't improve your memory you might want to get it checked.
