So what happens if I tell my GP and CBT therapist about my suicide plans and deadline? I'm not going to tell them but I'm curious about if I did. They know I have attempted once before (failed helium) and failed and ask everyone if I have any plans or thoughts to which I lie and say no when really I've set a date for July. What happens if I tell them? UK if it matters

They would try to assess whether you're serious about it, and whether your plan is feasible and you have the means to carry it out. This page explains in more detail how they're trained to handle cases like these.

So i wouldn't be locked up in hospital or some shit then? Sounds better than I thought it would be at least. Still no plans on telling anyone though. Not risking being intervened. Thanks for the info

I don't really know, but here in my country I remember there was another guy at the psych ward that got there because he attempted suicide, had to stay for a bit over a month and was forced into taking meds like everyone else

Probably. I know attempted suicide comes with a jail sentence where I am.

>Suicidal, obviously hates life and wants out
>attempts suicide and fails,,still hates life, probably more so now
>let's lock him up! That will teach him for hating life!

Literally why. I don't see any possible reason there could be for imprisoning suicidal people. How does it possibly help anyone?

You'll probably get more help. It's rare to be forcefully detained. You won't get something silly like prison, uk is a good country.

If you're living in conditions that make you suicidal then being committed could actually be nice.

Sounds like Singapore or some shithole in Africa.

I think they're legally obliged to try and stop you, up to and including sectioning you under the mental health act as a danger to yourself.

But they aren't likely to actually DO it. That'd be a bit heavy-handed. Just do what your therapist suggests; that shit worked for me.

first of all OP, don't be an idiot. don't an hero. try to just make the best of it all and learn how to survive in nature or something. learn some good skills and do good with your life.

that being said, the moment you tell a therapist or psychiatrist or any medical professional or authority figure or next closest friend, douche bag, family member in general that you are planning something, you can picture yourself in the room with padded walls in an instant because that is what they do. they give you a false sense of security and trust and then betray you instantly.

so #1 don't an hero. don't hurt yourself or others.

#2 don't trust assholes

#3 do good with your life.

>(failed helium)

You tried really!?

Is it truly painless?

Did it affected you in any way!?

What caused the failure!?

I have a deadline too, but i don't give a shit anymore.

Fuck this world and EVERYTHING IT HAS I WANT TO GO AWAY!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE RESPOND!!

I did try but I used the balloon time canisters which I later found out aren't as succesful as they used to be. They apparatus are now 2% oxygen or something to stop people using them for this. If you are using this method your best bet is to try and get an industrial canister somehow.

It was painless though. I fell asleep after a minute or so but woke up 20 or so minutes later with no changes whatsoever, if it had been pure helium I'd have been gone by now

The best case would be my death, second best case would be memory loss due to permanent brain damage, worst case would be the suffering of survival.

I can feel the salvation drawing near, it's so beautiful, can't wait to see what death looks like!! This is now my only hope. I'll knock on the reapers door, and this time he will have no other choice but to take me!!

Thank you anon. I owe you.
