But anyway, I think its being exaggerated to some extent. There certainly seem to be issues with large boards and rules/modding but on the other hand there is a reason those guys have increased their rules. I don't like more rules/moderation as a solution but it aint about what any one person or group wants. Majority rule under the 8ch system.

What these idiots fail to comprehend is that imageboards were always at the mercy of moderator discretion. The only difference is that years ago they couldn't handle all the rulebreakers. When moot said that the only reason moderation seemed to get harsher was because they got more efficient tools for banning and checking reports he probably wasn't lying.

People have been banned on 4chan for arbitrary reasons since it's infancy.
