/int/ruders were involved in the middle stages of the revolt but right now /ggrevolt/ is sailing all on its own and has very little to do with proxies or /int/ruders.
They may have received some help from /int/ruders early on as seen in this thread >>>/intl/19810
and also once they hit top 25 a little bit as seen here >>>/intl/25133
It is important to note that similar anti Acidman threads were present on /pol/ as well of course with different themes. With /int/ruders the pitch was rulecuckery(which infuriated /int/ruders). With /pol/ the pitch was how gamergate had stopped fighting SJWs. Whoever the leaders of this revolt were, they seem to have organized this quite well by appealing to several different boards with different types of lures.
Right now /ggrevolt/ has taken a life of its own.
What you will see below is an analysis of an interested but not so passionate observer of gamergate right from its very beginnings
/ggrevolt/ has now become what gamergate was in its primordial roots. A joint project of /v/irgins and /pol/ocks. /pol/'s interest in gamergate always was to fight SJWs. /pol/ has an interest in fighting SJWs because they had seen first hand how SJWs ruin everything they touch from academia to the workplace. They saw video games as the battleground where they could push back against the SJWs.
So, no wonder that /pol/ is seething now that a section of gamergaters has decided that gamergate is only going to be about ethics in game journalism and nothing more. This is now the founding parties of gamergate trying to take back the struggle.
You can blame it on /int/ruders all you want but this was a storm waiting to happen and the reasons of this are much more fundamental than a bunch of shitposting sperglords (/int/ruders).
