Hello Brothers I have a great idea to share from you to help combat the shilling and the shitposting that is killing our board. A new trend is sweeping our sister site reddit - instead of banning for a set period of time, users are given a homework assignment that they must complete to get unbanned.
I think this is a great idea for our board. Now look, I love the moderators and everything they do. I support and obey them for 100% so PLEASE do not take this as a sign of dissent, I'm only proposing a new idea. If somebody makes a shilling thread, they should have to write a 500 word essay on why shilling is bad. If somebody makes a shitposting thread, they should have to write a 500 word essay on why shitposting is bad. If they don't they stay banned permanently. Shills will never take the time to write it so they'll stay banned, while regularly users will be re-educated.
I don't believe in punative punishment, but in reformative punishment. We need to make get these deviants thinking the right way, instead of the wrong way. To train them. This is the perfect way to do it.
Of course, I leave it completely up to the based mods disgression to decide the nature of the assignment and its length. They are highly qualified, very professional individuals who know better than a layman like you or me and should be able to determine these things.
Please signal this idea, so we can finally put an end to attempts by outside groups - 4chan, /b/, JIDF, /intl/ etc - and outside ideas attempting to influence us.
