Searched the catalog, not a single instrument thread /metal/, wtf? Don't you guys play anything?
I'm thinking of buying Schecter Hellraiser C-7, never used it before, but I loved what I heard so far. Do any of you use it, would you recommend it? Or should I buy something else in the same price range($900 - $1,300)?

I find a lot of violin players are smug pricks.

>>2319>not samefagI'd personally be really good at one instrument than mediocre at 2 or 3.
And even if you have so much free time you can learn more instruments, what's the big advantage? You can only fill one role in a band, so your skill at the other instrument will just go to waste.

>>2327Somebody's never heard of one man studio bands. Some of us don't have a lot of options when it comes to prospective band members and the only person you can rely on usually ends up being yourself.

>>2327I played guitar in a deathgrind outfit. Then our drummer went full faggot and quit because "muh gf". If not for the fact that I don't suck complete ass at playing drums, we would've split up. Them fucking blastbeats are still hard as shit, tho.

I have a vintage Firebrand with EMG 85's and 81's. Mahogany body and neck, the fret board is ebony. It's pretty damn nice, but the action is a little meh

I have 2 king v's. I really like them. I love the neck and fretboard. I just need to get a new amp. Thinking peavey.

Hey, I'm in the market for learning guitar, but I have no idea what kind to buy. Is there a specific kind that's good for playing, say, black metal?

As varg says. With black metal, it doesn't matter what your equipment is. (Paraphrasing). Kind of an it's not your pencil but how you write with it type of thing.
I would say Jackson and a peavey but everyone will suggest something different. The best thing you could do is go to a guitar store and just try a couple, hold them see how the neck and fret's feel to you. And of course the sound.
Varg used some cheap ass guitar. (Be careful with Floyd roses btw, they're a pain in the ass once the wank factor wears off.
