The reason people hate ensiferum/wintersun is because they use waaaay to many synths as a crutch for a lack of guitar leads. Also the gung-ho sword-and-sorcery themed lyrics actually work with bands like Blind Guardian who have some genuine heart (and a wink of humor), but with ensiferum sound like a bunch of wiccan kids who are trying to make a band out of their deviantart OC's

Hell, even Rhapsody of Fire have the excuse of knowing their music is cheesy as hell, but ensiferum are just too autistic and ass-sore to ever admit that they're nothing more than a corny LARP metal band.
