Well, they are not an easy listen. I'm into this kind of shit, but the production on their records always ends up bothering me. Going for a murky sound is one thing, but that doesn't warrant the kind of absolutely brutal overcompression you find on Portal records. Serves me right for not getting them fuckin' vinyls, I guess.
