Blood Fire Death has some first wave BM, some thrash, and some viking. To say it isn't is wrong, but you're completely correct that The Return and UTSOFBM are definitely first wave.

This is one the best underground Black Metal from Sweden, but their album cover is shit.

I thought that Immortal had just disbanded, since Abbath had said that Demonaz and Horgh were too busy with their personal lives to do band stuff. But yea, it looks like they're continuing without Abbath. I'm interested to see if they make anything or just keep the band moniker for copyrights sake or whatever.

On a similar note, I'm probably more excited to hear the promised Abbath album than I should be.

Can anyone tell me if the two newest Mayhem albums are worth the listen? I really appreciate early Mayhem. Live in Leipzig and De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas are two of my favorite albums of all time. I especially really love Attila's performance on De Mysteriis…

I really have no interest in listening to any of the albums with Messiah on them though. I really don't care for his voice, and he doesn't bring much to the band at all IMO. But since I enjoyed Attila on De Mysteriis so much, I thought I might enjoy Ordo Ad Chao and Esoteric Warfare, though I'm still a little skeptical. So can anyone tell me if those two albums are worth the listen?
