So I recently came across this thing called the "Grimposium".
http://globalnews.ca/news/2146406/grimposium-sheds-light-on-bigger-issues-in-metal-music-industry/
At first glance this looks like another one of those circlejerks where academics try feebly to wrap their heads around metal.
>Currently in its second year, the Grimposium is a special opportunity for metal heads to get together and talk about their common interests.
But then I saw this:
>The Grimposium will also host discussions on racism, misogyny and homophobia within the heavy metal scene, as well as debate how to properly discuss these topics.
It became clear to me that this was a thinly veiled attempt at pushing social justice bullshit onto the metal scene. I decided to do some digging and came across pic related.
>Contemporary Issues In Metal Journalism
>A panel on how journalists deal with sensitive material in the extreme metal scene
And look at the first name on that roster: Kim Kelly. Let me remind you that Kim Kelly is the same metal journalist who tried to demonize Dragonforce based on lyrics some of the members wrote 20 years ago.

She was also the first to promote Castrator, which she called a "feminist death metal band".

It's obvious what's going on here. This "Grimposium" has been set up to devise ways of pushing social justice bullshit onto the metal scene. It's DiGRA all over again. You guys wanna place any bets on how long it will be until the metal press declares that metalheads are dead all on the same day?
