What's the best show you've ever seen? Why was it so good? Big show or small show? Etc. Etc.
For me, it was pic related. If you're not familiar with them they're technical melodic death metal. It was a really tiny show and they fucking killed it. Great crowd interaction, great music, technical as fuuuuuuck. Also pantomimed gay sex on stage, so how much better can it get?

I saw Down, Amon Amarth, Carcass, Megadeth, Entombed, Hellyeah, Dimmu Borgir, Profane Omen, Hatebreed, Biohazard, Obituary, Primordial, Children of Bodom, Saxon, Decapitated, Evil Scarecrow, ReVamp, Crowbar, Flotsam and Jestsam - and some others.

Goatwhore and Iron Reagan at the Vaudeville Muse. Fucking sick.

I saw some shitty local bands but the mosh was insane so I guess that counts for something.

Goatwhore and The Black Dahlia Murder was a great show.

>>1704Nah, not even that.
I'm Argentinian and the quality of the bands here isn't that great, so the enjoyment I get from these concerts is getting wasted and then bash niggers in the mosh.

Probably Wintersun/Fleshgod/Arsis.
Forget the Fleshgod part, though, because they didn't play anything from their first album or EP.
Arsis played a great fucking set (and an even better one this year during their ACoG ten-year anniversary tour) and Wintersun was immaculate.

Bumping old thread because fuck you.

This thread is old as fuck but fuck it.
I've seen Ghost live twice. Was fucking amazing both times. Small shows, in places that looked like a high school gym. I'll definitely see them again next time they come to the U.S. Though, it's really unfortunate that so few decent bands tour in the southern states.

And it doesn't matter that dude was metal. Van Gogh probably would have hated metal, but he was metal as fuck regardless.

Seconding these fuckers. Saw them one time in this tiny little venue that was like 1/4 full. They absolutely slaughtered it. Genuinely felt like I was in a cult.

haven't been to many shows, but the black dahlia and faceless (i forget if they were on tour or just coincidentally at the same show) were awesome. There was a good amount of TBDM fans there (myself included), and the bond could really be felt.

I like James Malone, seems like a cool guy. I wish he would start a blog like varg. Their albums, however, are terribly produced, especially the guitar effects.

Funny that this popped up again. Just saw Allegaeon two weeks ago, and they were tight as hell. They also played their hearts out for about 15 people on a Sunday night, even playing an encore (Accelerated Evolution).

Their best record is their most recent. This is off their second release, which is probably their weakest, but it's still pretty good.

It's not like I'm a big fan of using a trip either. It's just that the people constantly bitching about it are a lot more distracting than the people using trips.
