Question for whoever's up to answer.

I'm the OP of >>>/tech/149311, a long-running thread about a long-term project which started off as a "Should I do it guys?", and I feel the initial thread has run its course and hasn't been bumped in a while.

I'd like to request that it be perma-saged, so that I can start a different thread to track the progress, with relevant information in the OP rather than deep in the thread.

Is it appropriate to use the report system to flag it to a mod, or should I post it in /metatech/ like I am now, so as not to clog up reports?

Please don't use the report system for that. The only reason I auto-saged the OP's thread was because there was already a duplicate thread with a lot of posts, so I didn't want to delete either one. Please don't make duplicate threads. It will eventually hit the bump limit, and then you can make another one. Thanks

Thanks for responding. I'll wait patiently then. I didn't want to make things harder for you all.

And while changing the current OP would be nice, the project that the thread concerns is on hold for a bit while I continue packing and moving house, and I feel that all questions that need to be answered have been, so I'll let it gracefully come to pass.

If I need an edit on the OP of the next thread, I'll ask, but I plan on having as much of it on the original OP post as possible.
