Desktop threads have always been there and it was foreseeable that it will some day /tech/. Eternal Desktop Thread, hidden, problem solved.

There is nothing wrong with sharing rice and configs, also /rice/ is fail, because DDT culture is to small for a whole board. One thread that can be hidden is the best solution imho.
