This board is slow enough, if you start listening to these people on what you should ban people will just go back to /g/ as there is little reason to stay since
A) /g/ is much faster
B) unlike /v/ and /pol/ posters on this board where not banned from discussing their opinions on topics, we are here simply for ideological reasons.
The reason 4chan became big in the first place was because it was a place that people could come and talk about anything.
ideas grow from freedom to discuss them not by disallowing conversations.
also be very cautious of people who want to become volunteers. these people do this simply to either get a high from power tripping or push their ideas into the community(/pol/ is an example of this). moderation should be treated as a duty not a privilege

Don't worry. I have no intention of doing that.

Story of my life. I am extremely strict on who becomes a volunteer on my board, hence the main reason why I'm essentially the only one who moderates it, with the other being a good and well trusted friend of mine who never seems to do anything, so it's basically just me.
I'll only start recruiting more volunteers if and when the board grows large enough that it needs assistance, and even then, I won't just recruit anyone who comes asking.

>>48I have no intention on giving into a few people who want a tight hugbox of a board. I delete obvious shitposting, but I'd never delete threads for what they'd call "shitposting" (ie. opinions that they don't personally agree with.) You'd be surprised how many reports I get for threads and posts that are perfectly fine.
