Eh, I think everyone needs to calm the fuck down. Self moderation doesn't mean spam threads you don't like. Obviously if the general consensus is if the thread is shit, it will die regardless. I don't want to see dubs removed because I think they have their place, and I think some of the dubsmen have been godsends. However, since the third exodus there's been an increase in "quality control" fags.
I'm not talking about the anons who have been here since before the 3rd exodus, because dubs were under control then. My issue isn't even with the dubs, it's with the "quality control, this shouldn't be posted on /v/" mentality. We've been lax before the third exodus, because the community had grown and matured to a point where threads were consistent, actual shit threads were dealt with by the users, and off-topic wasn't abused and fit in.
The third wave of /v/ users are the cancer from halfchan. If you are caught in the crossfire of us trying to purge them of their faggotry, then just file a ban appeal. I understand your position, we're just trying to get it back to pre-3rd Exodus levels of control. Once the board is back under control and the cancer understands how the board operates, I imagine the hotpocketers will cool their ban trigger fingers. They'd better.
Until then, if you're new, don't be a faggot and lurk. If you're not new, bare the torch and shitpost responsibly.
