This was nothing but a disgustingly political PR move. The shitstorm had already brewed for several hours, and people had already associated everyone who doesn't agree with them with Ralph. A petition like this was now 10x more likely to pass than it would have been in the first place. In fact, Mark would have had no doubts that it would pass. I had no doubts that it would pass. Nobody in their right fucking minds had any doubt that it would. This was just an attempt to legitimize forcing his opinion of what should and should not be archived onto everyone via mob rule. He didn't even ask for a majority vote, just for an arbitrary number. But that's not the fucking point. If you think him being democratic here means he's for free speech, you're blind. Free speech is not democracy. In a pure democracy, 51% can completely shut up the other 49%. This was an eye-opening moment where he revealed his entire mentality of governing the board is fucked at a fundamental level so much that he'd say shit like, and I quote, "If we get over 100 people to sign, then your voice is invalidated."
That is a pure, absolute statement against free speech. After this, it was clear that Mark wasn't just a minor faggot making a bad move, he was full cuckchan. He just did not give a shit and as long as he could justify what he was doing by the userbase he didn't care. Combine this with his constant "THERE'S MORE IMPORTANT SHIT TO BE DISCUSSING", which was true, but completely absolves him of responsibility for his mistake in the same "gators, let's make peace and #closethegate!" anti-GG fashion that allows you to end dissent with you getting your way entirely.
The number of signatures he thinks would justify a silencing of the rest of the userbase changed from 250 to 100 to 60 to "fuck it I do what I want" merely because he was pissed off at me. I'm not fucking Ralph. I have nothing to do with Ralph. I've read his articles maybe twice and if you've formed such a strong opinion about what a clickbait fuck he is, then you've read him far more than I have. Yet Mark makes a knee-jerk reaction that targets only Ralph and whoever will link/read him because of me. This is the kind of person you have in charge. He then bans me and the other guy (the guy who actually deserved to be banned), and a few minutes later deletes the thread after a "this thread looks ugly can I refresh it guys :^)", which stops anyone looking at the kind of insane things he says when he gets mad.
I really did not give a fuck about Ralph. I was against this on principle. Mark just proved himself to have far more problems governing the board than I thought he did.
