I don't mind the skypegroup and parties, board owners are people too and if they want to meet with like-minded people to have fun, why not? Hotwheels does the same thing (see: 8chan party).

That said, I've seen a /v/ mod post a thread, said thread fell down the catalog because it was uninteresting and then he proceeded to repost it, with his cap on in order to get attention. When anons called him a shitter here on meta he posted something about how we "had no idea what he did for this board", acted cocky as fuck and generally couldn't understand why that was a problem. He eventually deleted the thread and I didn't think much of it, but looking back, that was a redflag.
