While there are shills and shitposters, the overzealous desire to declare anything one dislikes as a shill or as part of some conspiracy to destroy you is just another means of creating a hugbox in a different direction. In the end, halfchan and so on fell not so much to ideology as it did to enforcement of an ideology. A lot of the mods were faggots but it only became an issue when they changed their moderation tactics so as to enforce this ideology. Too much "hotpockets" and all that. Much of that is occurring on 8ch in various places, /v/ being one of them. The fact that it is known as nintendogaf, even among people who like nintendo is telling in itself. The censorblade X stuff will always be Mark's lowpoint since it showed his bias clear as day. His actions with various trump-posters also indicates this, considering how triggered him and leftypol seem to get over it. That said, a lot of the irritation with Mark seems more like it comes from him just being a terrible moderator. The rest of his moderators, like Cyan, are better and more consistent, even if you don't agree with them.

After the failed migration to next, the catalog was full of threads. Then, BAM. the whole board wipped in wave of shitposts. Now every other thread is "OMG 8chan is DYING WHERE TO NEXT?!"

That was mostly because Josh is something of a raging cunt. I haven't interacted with him personally thankfully but he comes across as one each time I look over those threads.

It is paranoia you raging cock-mongling fuckwitted failed abortion. Even on halfchan, there have always been people who either cried doom and gloom or claim said board/site/place is shit. This was the case there, and is the case here as well. As I said before, there are some shills, but not to the extent you think. Everything else is just you tossing a fit because you're an autistic fuck. A few anons shitposting won't change anything. If people are that easily swayed, would you have wanted such people that stupid here to begin with? Or is it an indication of how shitty this place, from the moderation to the shitty autists, is to begin with that a supposed few rabble-rousers not in any position of power can drive people from the site and actually kill it? As I said before, while there are some people causing trouble, most of them hang out in /operate/ trying to take over such a place. Most of them suck the moderators's dicks and try and get put into positions of power. The few that do cause trouble are more the kind to cause some trouble, then complain about that trouble and utilize people like you and your autism to make said trouble seem like it is something more only to then push for more rules and more moderation so they can increase their chances of getting put into power or make this place look bad, make it look worse than halfchan. This is what happened with the censorblade fiasco. Mark showing preference for a game/fanbase was rather silly and the kind of stuff that you'd expect to find on halfchan. It was pure halfchan nonsense. You complain of mere shitposting when your bullshit and the response to that bullshit is the thing that will drive people away and leave 5 of you to jack each other off. Getting mad at shitposting won't change the fact that moderation on these boards, especially /v/ operates under a "react" policy rather than thinking shit through and wondering about the consequences of said action and the fact that a board was never fixed with more hotpockets. This is what killed halfchan. How would that fix shit here?

Well, you'll get your wish. The old guard that was on this site will end up leaving and this place. A number of us only come here for the small niche boards that thankfully have remained relatively untouched or some of us still have boards to run here. Most likely this place will be filled with reddit/casual scum. Maybe that will be more suitable for you. Or maybe you'll kill yourself. Here's hoping for the latter.

But by all means assume that everyone is crazy and that you are totally in the right. What you're doing right now won't fix things if what you are claiming is true. What Mark and company won;t fix things since this shit is still occurring if what you are saying is true. Maybe you should step up the moderation. Require some other bullshit. Maybe we should accuse more and more people of being shills. That is what has been going on and surely that must work. It didn't work before if what you are saying is true and this has been a concerted organized conspiracy going on for months as opposed to shitposters playing on the fear of real shills, then surly more the same shit moderation will fix things. Surely more of the same shit from the denizens of /v/ and autistic fits while defending the mods relentlessly and screaming shill will fix things. I used to think that way but realized after taking some time off from this place that such is a stupid way of doing things. The so-called enemy only has shitposting and yet they are supposedly killing the shit out of this place, if what you are saying is true. Don't you think there is something wrong with that?

I'm concerned about the paranoia as well. I haven't been a called a shill yet on /v/ though. I doubt the D&C, inter-board conflict will amount to much if a large percentage of 8chan browses multiple boards instead of a board to identify with. (Or at least I browse multiple boards, and the concept is just laughable.)
