Now, this could just be coincidence, but knowing Kojima, it might very well be deliberate too. The game is set to release on 1/9 (if you write dates like a normal person, and not an American).

But what does the 84 mean? It's probably not anything to do with it releasing in 2084. Personally, I think there'll be an announcement of sorts on the 8/4, which is coming up pretty soon. I think it'll be ports to newer consoles of the legacy collection or whatever, so PC and newer players can enjoy the old games.

What do you guys think? Am I just grasping at straws here, or might there be something to it?
