ITT Let's talk about stuff that could have been added in MGS games to enhance the gameplay.
For example in MGS3 it would be great if there were more soldiers with binoculars and snipers in big maps making it very hard to not be discovered encouraging you to use your camo and crawling around instead of running everywhere.
Also it would have been a big addition if the European Extreme difficulty featured an endless caution phase for the rest of the game if they have found you.

Better aiming controls for once

>Wanting MGS3 to be even slower
Crawling around on the ground for the whole game is not "real stealth" its retardation.

Big open jungle areas just filled with animal wild life and stuff to discover would have been great in MGS 3, but it was obviously restricted by the console hardware at that time. It's even worse in Peace Walker of course.

>>699I think Kojima is trying to make up for it with the jungle parts of TPP. I am really hyped for the jungle areas.

Better aiming controls would have been great for MGS3, the controls are so bad for anything other than taking the time to line up your shots from a secluded place hundreds of yards away.
A lot of people really like the boss fights, but they've always felt more like a chore to me with the weapon handling. I can't tell you how many times I almost beat one of the bosses, only for me to have to re-adjust my sights and get assraped by an attack I could have avoided.
I'm really looking forward to the more fluid shooting mechanics from Ground Zeroes. Finally, guns feel like a feasible option, and I can use them to eliminate guards that spot me and find a good hiding spot instead of moaning in frustrations and swallowing a suicide pill so I can restart at the beginning of the stage.
For Peace walker, I also would have liked to see more effort go into the off-base mercenary work, instead of it being the rock-paper-scissors crap we ended up with.

The crouch walking they put in MGS3D was great, it was actually balanced to not be super OP like it was in Peace Walker. Kind of wish it killed your stamina like it did in MGS4 though.
Also a shame they didn't make crouch walking an optional feature in the HD/Legacy collections. It makes so much sense, why would someone who needs to not get discovered refuse to move while they're kneeling?
Better aiming controls would have obviously been better, and the TPS camera in MGS3D was shit, bullets rarely if ever landed where I was aiming. So far I think Peace Walker is the only game that got third person shooting down pat. It just felt awkward in MGS4 and in Ground Zeroes the crosshair is just plain incorrect sometimes, like when you're holding someone. The crosshair doesn't compensate for the shift in Snake's posture

I think Portable Ops had better controls than peace walker for the PSP.

This is a minor nitpick of GZ, but…
>shoot out camera>guards notice camera was obviously destroyed by an intruder>itsprobablynothing.jpgReally Konami, you go out of the way to make sure guards notice shot out cameras, but don't let them trigger a caution?

No.998
>>842This so much, the reticule on guns like the tranq pistol are awful. I have no clue how people manage to get consistent headshots in GZ. It's cute that it has those lines to help you compensate for distance but the lines aren't fucking marked so it's still guesswork.

No.1099
One thing that really irked me about PW is that you couldn't crawl or shoot in first person. Those are the two big things I'd want fixed.
No.1110
Honestly I really miss first person view, I think I would've enjoyed MGS4 and GZ more had it been there and you didn't need to use a scope just to look around you.
