Aside from invisible walls, what was stopping anybody from giving Fortune a nice bat in the side of the head? It should've been obvious much sooner that she was no Lady Luck. With a health bar like that, CQC could've taken her out in less than a minute.

I'm guessing you'd just miss, or the bat would spontaneoussly break. Dealing with her would be similar to what would happen if Novikov self-consistency principle was true and you went in time and tried to shoot your own grandfather: TIME PARADOX

Perhaps that's the reason for her "luck", and Kojima will explore it in the future.

Ocelot had a machine that created the same effect and he was able to shoot her. It obviously means that it was caused by the La-li-lu-le-lo up to that point. The last deflection is unexplained, but it is stupid to assume that she secretly had the exact same abilities as the ones the La-li-lu-le-lo gave her, or Ocelot wouldn't have been able to shoot her at all. Solid didn't know what the fuck was going on, there is no reason to assume that he knows what happened.

And yeah thank god that didn't happen. But, like it kinda did. You might have been joking I don't know. MGS4 though had him controlling the B&B corp. with nanomachines. He was a ghost while doing it though so maybe he was just hanging out.
