I wanted to ask you guys about some idea that was suggested in one of the postings on /mgtow/.
It's about creating sticky threads for topics like -media (good youtubers, movies, video games, books etc.) or -misandric society and women (news, stories, etc.) because there were too many similar threads about those topics.
Do you think this would make sense? I guess it would help to make the board more organised and for new threads to be focussed on other interesting topics like fitness and health, hobbies other than media, finance and business or the world economy. We have much potential for interesting threads about those topics.
In order not to fill the whole front page with stickies I could unsticky some of the currently stickied threads.

I though you had abandoned the board and feared the worst. I saw all this spam and went to check if the board was on claims on June 2nd and sure enough, it was.
I filed a request to claim the board to prevent it being taken over by one of MGTOW's innumerable enemies.
I had planned for the worst, even getting ready to make a new MGTOW board if some enemy had already claimed it before me.
Heaven's sake BO, you have done a superb job of managing the board so far, but please don't scare us like this.
To the Global Volunteer, now that the old BO is back, I hope the claim I had made will be automatically ignored. If not, please tell me what I have to do to cancel my claim and prevent a mess.

Thank you, that's a very nice compliment. It would be an honor to help moderate the forum, however I don't handle positions of authority very well and tend to become somewhat of a tyrant…. especially at around 2am after a bottle of wine;-)
My favorite time was about 7 years or so ago when MGTOW was generally limited to a single ProBoards forum and the moderator hardly ever intervened. There were huge flame wars and many lulz were had. I don't mind people who try to disrupt the dialogue as eventually the MGTOW message hits home even with them… Also, their objections can be quite interesting.
Perhaps in the future if things get totally out of control here, I could assist in some very limited capacity. Shall see…

I don't have much experience as volunteer. I know the basics of moderating a board though. I'm ready to volunteer.
I'm a little bit of a timid volunteer. I hate conflict with the community. So I am afraid I will not be able to deal with anything beyond obvious spam or something that breaks global rules. I just find it difficult to deal with the drama that comes from banning or deleting stuff beyond that. In those cases, I will tell them that it is upto the BO. In other words, I will not take a call on vague stuff such as shitposting and in those cases, it will be your call on what to do with those.
