It has a place in this WORLD, but in our western civilization it's mainly nitpicking. They should be focusing on women around the globe, not about themselves and the attention they can get that way.
You are right, those women are incredibly misguided and insecure, possibly terrible. I do think that it's only a trend, and as soon as the chans and other people get tired of actively hating feminism, it'll slowly die down. It's basicly only living because of the loud criticisers right now.
