A bit late maybe, but it's probably time to ask another important question: what is /midpol/'s stance on Ferguson?

I don't know exactly what went down at the scene of the death, but the way that the black rioters are reacting isn't helping anything. They are going with their guts, and it isn't working out. It's a sad situation that keeps being made worse by black fucktards who have no respect for anyone, and overzealous police forces with no respect for the poor.
Some blacks need to at least act civilized, and some cops need to get off their power trips.

While there are no doubt a bunch of shitty cops with power trips, being a cop can't be an easy job all the time. There are a lot of whiny narcissistic entitled fuckwits out there nowadays who can't ever face that they are wrong, and with the times in a cops job where one must make a morally grey decision right on the spot with huge consequences, neither of those two mix together well, and as a result cops get a whole lot of flack that they don't always deserve.

People can criticize all they want, but when they are put in the position, and they figure out what works and how the behavior they wanted from cops works against them when shitty people try to take advantage of that behavior, it's a different story.

That being said, unless being put on the fucking spot with whatever happened in the confrontation made Darren Wilson have some weird panic attack and shot Micheal Brown SO MANY FUCKING TIMES, I don't think Darren Wilson is in the right at all, and it's not like this was even brought up, so really, fuck that guy, he should be locked up, whether that footage of Mike robbing a convenience store was fraudulent or not.

And to top it off his body was left there for days.

That being said, the riots did not help, and neither did the riot police.

I'm so sick of this us vs them shit. You wanna make a song called fuck the police? Then maybe you should also acknowledge your song Straight Outta Compton. I'm sick of this X can do no wrong and it's all Y's fault shit.

Fuck the people who automatically assume Brown was completely innocent without question.

Fuck the people who automatically assume the cops did nothing wrong without question.

Fuck so many things really.

Yeah, I do feel bad for cops who have to share a profession with people who really should not be doing that job for one reason or another. And likewise, black people who have gone against their cultures enough to become decent humans with some education beyond simple street smarts should not have to put up with sharing their race with dumbfucks who riot and loot at the first opportunity.

I neither believe Brown was an innocent child, nor do I think the cop who killed Eric Garner should be a free man right now. Both of them fucked up, nobody should have died in either case, and in a more ideal world the living would answer for their mistakes just like the dead, without so many fruitless acts of violence after the fact, or guilt people being set free.

It is a tragic thing really. I thought this kind of thing would have been dealt using tasers but I suppose in life and death situations cops will shoot to kill. They only made it worse with the riots.

Don't forget about media, who just pour petrol on the flames by turning it all into media circus, jut to get views and rake in money.
I think that their coverage of it only makes dealing with entire situation more difficult for everyone involved, worse, it is in their interest that riots like these go for as long as possible.

Not to mention that they are the ones constantly perpetuating "us vs them" shit you mentioned.
