 No.426

All life is precious.

Human life is our own and especially needing protection.

Whether it was a drunk "mistake" sex.

Or an unfortunate and violent one.

We can not fix one tragedy by allowing another

Heartbeats start at 5-8 weeks since conception.

We can hear and remember sounds from the third trimester.

Only the weak would allow the defenseless to die.

What if childbirth endangers the mothers life? Would you allow abortion then?

 No.436

That should be viewed on a case by case basis and strict regulations are required. If her life is in danger then it should be given the longest safe amount of time to consider. If 1 life will have to die for theother to live then it shouldn't be taken lightly.

That's a nice pedestal that you are putting life on there. Would I be incorrect to assume you mean all life is precious up and to including animal and microbial. I would agree with exceptions excluded human life shoud be protected in a manner of speaking but not when that life is to cause mental, physical, or other unforeseeable outcomes that negatively imact the FETUS carrier.

When posting medical "facts?" sources for your information would be greatly appreciated its hard to conceive of a test you could repeatedly and consistently test on a new born to see if they recognize post uterine sounds. Im no doctor but I do sence some fuckery with the "facts?" And rubio is a soft spoken sap with no hardline opinons about anything except immigration and even there here about as tough as a wet napkin.

Sounds pretty determined to save lives to me.

As for the data this isn't really new. It's been known and tested since at least the 60s.

Negative impact on the baby's mother could be a headache so do you draw a line somewhere?

I dont care if its a hang nail or a stubbed toe. No one is of a status that places them high enough to decide what one will do with their own body.

>All life is precious.

I hope you count animal life too

There are 7.3 billion people on this planet.

The world population grows each year with an amount of people greater as the whole of Australia.

And everyone is just basically doing the same shit for the same reasons: work, sleep, consume resources, shit, procreate. Nobody is special.

Life needs to be managed in order to sustain the quality of life for everyone and also animals.

See graph, it's the wildlife decline. It's HALVED since the 70's.

HALVED.

Abortion will not even put a dent in this problem.

We cannot continue procreating at this rate (which is increasing too).

If we keep ignoring it and pass this issue to next generations, don't expect it to solve itself in a.pleasant way. It will not.

Face it. We're a plague. We're an environmental disaster. We should get smart enough to keep ourselves in check.

We keep trying to lessen our ecological footprint, but it's a senseless battle if we keep increasing our numbers, effectively nullifying the results.

When is enough enough?

There are more then enough humans. We need to stop population growth ASAP.

To put it plain and simple the fetus has zero rights to life until it can sustain itself outside the fetus carriers body not including shelter and food.

Let's say that about your kids when it is time.

And contraceptives are murder too, I suppose?

Enjoy getting fucktrapped, OP. Knock a slut up and then you're theirs.

 No.484

That is a separate problem.

 No.489

I'd say i'm pro-choice, under certain circumstances, like a rape baby, why should we make some one who already went through something life scaring, now have to deal with the consequences of something that probably ruined her life, i mean really, if you were a woman, and were raped, and got knocked up how would you handle knowing that you now have to have a literal piece of that trauma inside you and then have to look at the product of that trauma for the rest of you life. Let abortion be legal, but put some restrictions on it, catch it early, when the fetus is just a blob of cells. I don't however condone whore bitches that get pregnant, have an abortion, get pregnant and have an abortion, wash, rinse, repeat though.

 No.565

> like a rape baby

Also known as the "You only have the right to life if your dad wasn't an asshole" defense.

I see the argument of both sides, honestly. If you believe life begins at conception, of course you'll be against what you see as the killing of a baby. At the same time, a woman ought to have sovereign rights to her own body.

Personally, I'm of the opinion that a woman DOES have the right to control her own body by using contraception and/or insisting that her partner uses contraception. In the case of rape, you don't solve the problem by making it worse, ie. killing the child/foetus/baby/whatever.

This causes a very real problem with a bunch of unwanted babies with corresponding problems of poverty and a permanent underclass of people who don't take reproductive responsibility, however. It comes down to which is worse, really.

 No.566

>>489

>>565

cases of rape are rare so giving rights to murder babies to all women because a few get pregnant from rape is illogical and as the other anon said punishing the innocent doesnt do any justice here

as for sovereign over your own body - women are consistently lied to that abortion will damage their body not just future reproductive rights but daily hormonal health and her psyche

we can call it termination or abortion or expediting the path to heaven for the baby but it is still murder and this causes a huge psychological scar on a woman

lets not forget to mention that many women aged 12-22 are forced to take abortion because they are still under the supervision of their parents and the parents are consumerist whores - they dont get a right to choose murder

 No.567

>>566

Murder implies malicious intent. Apart from a few (but admittedly growing number of) radical feminists, nobody is advocating having abortions out of malice or that they are a source of pride.

What I was trying to do, perhaps it didn't come across, was to present the argument from both sides.

One side believes that a woman's right to control her own body trumps the rights any undeveloped "clump-of-cells"(tm) may have.

The other side feels that a developing foetus is a human being and that its right to life trumps the woman's right to control her own body.

My own, personal, opinion is that a woman can control pregnancy before conception by using contraception, as can men. Once the choice is made, the developing foetus ought to gain the right of life on its own. The win-win here is that through comprehensive sex education and ubiquitous access to contraceptives, both sides could get what they want: fewer abortions. This method is far more effective at actually solving the problem than yelling at the other side.

Then you'll only be left with the crazy people who knee-jerk about the topic and shout down the opposition because they fear any real argument in their own disfavour. These people can safely be ignored.

>All life is precious

That's a minority opinion based on feelings, bub.

Nobody but the most vegan of hippies think this way.

>Human life is our own

The life of some gopnic/chav/bogan who pisses in elevators and huffs paint is not my own. I could hardly give less of a fuck about what most people do with their lives. No edge intended, just want everyone to mind their own business.

>and especially needing protection

And we've built the means for this protection. State militaries, private arms, and the natural family unit that protects those of their own who cannot protect themselves. We're pretty much set on protection.

>We can not fix one tragedy by allowing another

In the case of abortion, we're talking about preventing shit rather than fixing something already done.

The value of continued existence is the value of expected experiences if that existence continues.

If I knew with a decent degree of certainty that the rest of my life would be shit (like a retarded teen mom's rape baby's life would be), I'd definitely off myself beforehand. Again, no edge intended.

>Heartbeats start at 5-8 weeks since conception.

>We can hear and remember sounds from the third trimester.

Nigger, a fucking frog has these qualities.

A human being at this stage of development is definitely not conscious or self aware, and therefore isn't a person.

Children aren't even born with completely developed brains for fuck's sake.

If you would describe sociopathic behavior, driven only by basic, self-centered cost-benefits analysis, coupled with physical inability for post-conventional (i.e "I know some things are right and some are just wrong, even if the law of my state/community or my social experience doesn't say so") morality as soullessness, then surprise surprise bud – children under 12 years of age don't have souls.

>Only the weak would allow the defenseless to die.

Then how about all of these morally, physically, politically and economically strong entities allowing all sorts of defenseless people, cultures, animals to die throughout all of human history.

>Marco Rubio

Irrelevant candidate with no popular backing

Nice try, politishill

this. if the pregnancy was completely unintentional and a woman is very afraid of shredding her pussy to a million pieces giving birth, its kind of fucked up to force her to have a pregnancy she didn't ever want.
