So are these guys the midwest, the south, or the south west? They get called a southern state a lot but I guess a lot of southerners don't consider them to be so.

 No.230

Pretty sure they are south. They get grouped with Texas a lot.

 No.237

According to the U.S census bureau, it is south. I've been to Oklahoma a few times, and it does feel like an extension of Texas.

 No.244

Okies are always south

 No.261

Tulsa had this weird South/Midwest/Southwest feel to it when I lived there. I'd say it feels more Midwestern than Joplin, Missourah does.

Don't know about the rest of the state.

 No.336

They're really a mix of all those from what I understand, kind of like Texas but more Midwestern.

Definitely South.

Also, is it just me or is there an insane amount of fucking road construction in Oklahoma? Goddamn, it took me ages to drive through that shit.

 No.406

Oklahoma could be considered the south, but it's definitely part of the sun belt (and the SB states suck!)

Califailia, Arizona, NM Especially, Texas (although some areas of texas are amazing), Louisiana, Alabama, Mississipi.. you get my point.

 No.430

When I lived in Oklahoma (am from Ohio, a true Midwesterner) the people there considered themselves to be from the midwest.

When I asked what that made Ohio they weren't sure. "middle-east"?

I wouldn't say they are from the South though, we can accept them.

 No.445

Oklahoma is basically Texas north.

What part of Oklahoma? BA/Tulsa definitely had a Midwestern vibe.

It was actually Tulsa, and I agree
