I'm perfectly ok with using the term "real life", it's just that things are different online, but that doesn't really change anything. In this day and age, people are connected over greater distances, it's how things are now.
I try not to think about whether our friendship is "real" or not, it's just what it is. Isn't that enough?

I'm not sure. I can imagine that being possible with our MM threads, but not everyday. Part of the reason the 4MM threads are so active, is because they're Monday only. If they were daily, they wouldn't be as active.
That said, if /miku/ had the same amount of regular posters as 4MM threads (minus trolls and shitposters) it would be more active, and other threads might get bumped more often. I don't know how different the posting rate would bethough.

More than anything, I think Ore Monogatari is heartwarming. That's entirely based on the first 3 episodes, who knows what may happen? Aside from the people who read the manga already…
My brother and I are debating over which is the show of the season: Food Wars or Ore Monogatari.

Which we did. Today I was approached if I want to go work on Monday again. Naturally I declined, and the reply was, "ok, either you accept, or have to use a day-off".
I stormed into the office, and made a little scene about it with the boss lady, who told me "there are no free days, and next Monday is to work-in this Thursday".
After this, I had a talk with some of colleagues, who still stand by their stories from yesterday, and on Monday we'll confirm who has been lying.
And as I said, if they stab me in the back, then it's time to take my leave.

We'll probably feel some "turbulence" soon.
We're less than 150 posts from the ten thousandth post. I'm sure some boards (at least sp) are watching the post counter.
I wouldn't mind gets if they didn't flood the board just to get it. Last time they sage bombed IA/VT with gibberish.
They'll most likely go to the thread on the last page and spam it until they're one post from getting it.
I hope they go for that instead of filling the board with garbage.

Best case scenario is just sp alone trying to get it. One or two new threads for the get, and about 1-3 unique IPs.

On a bigger, faster board, unique gets can be very entertaining. Sure, other mods/volunteers/janitors will have to clean that mess after it happens, but at least it is both a milestone for the board and trophy for the post that gets it.
It's pointless to do that on slow board like ours though. That's like playing a video game on the lowest difficulty with cheats on.
>>9859
As much as I would like that, I don't think that's a good idea.
If they notice that the post rate increases, they'll desperately flood the board even more.

Anyway, it's nothing to be concerned about.
Boards by default limit the amount of threads that can be created per hour.
The actual possible damage to the board is very limited, even if we get bot-spammed some day for some reason.
In the worst case scenario, two or more boards will compete for the get, and 5 or more unique IPs will try to camouflage their posts so that volunteers don't notice them.
Still, it wouldn't take much time to clean those posts.

Today was pretty chill. We made sure we still had some work to finish, but not much, so we ended up pissing half of the day away.
It started raining just as we left the base(on bicycles), so we took a break at the first shelter we found for about half an hour.
After that, it slowly turned sunny. We did most of the work left from yesterday, and after that went to the shore of the local lake to chill for the rest of the day.
I had my Pandora with me, so I could listen to music the entire time, while also trying to pay attention to the conversation with my colleague who's into fishing.
So I relaxed, watched as the sky turned blue and the clouds passed by, watched seagulls fishing, played some skipping stones, etc…
It was sort of refreshing.

Honestly it was all such a blur that I couldn't really take it in. At least it's over now, though my new freer timetable is proving attractive to friends and family members, who are trying to get me to do various things for them.
>Went over to grandma for lunch, and tried show her a few songs, but she doesn't really get it.
That's adorable. Sounds like a nice chilled out weekend family lunch.
I certainly wouldn't expect the older generations to "get it". I don't make any efforts to inform them of my interests, I just talk about other things with them.
No.10418

It wasn't a family lunch, just me going over to eat. Mom is doing night shifts currently, so there might or might not be proper food at home.
This might sound a bit mean, but since I'm the youngest in the family, and since I spend the most time with our parents(which still isn't much), my weird hobbies get a free pass I guess, since they're probably happy I show them something and interact/talk with them. So my mother and grandma usually finds it "cute" but they probably don't really care about it, nor do I expect them to. But at least it's accepted to a great extent.
I have also been (and still am) spoiled by them.
>last two weeks of my life that I don't remember?
Did something happen during the weeks? I remember you had to leave for a while. Did they brainwash you at the end?
>my new freer timetable

Probably. Now I can't thwart their evil schemes.
Well, I intend to fully enjoy myself in the next few weeks.
I hope Rin Anon isn't dismayed to hear this but I'll be going abroad on holiday soon, though I expect I'll still be in contact here using my phone.
I wish I was a younger family member, I guess a lot more of my craziness would be much more readily accepted in that case, kind of like how it is with you.
Well, I do enjoy the benefits of being one of the older family members in my generation. I'm taken seriously when talking about important issues, and the children give me a lot of respect.
I do love elderly folk. They have a much simpler take on life which I find refreshing. Often the conversations between my grandfather and I at family reunions go like "Why aren't you married yet boy?"
"One day grandpa…"
No.10421
>>10419
"You'll surely have kids some day…"
"Not by how things look right now…"
Sadly a lot of the times we start talking about something it ends with an argument. I'm good at making simple people angry.
"You should watch the news every day to be up to date."
"Why? There's nothing interesting in it. Why do you watch it anyway? It's always full of tragedies."
"That's not true at all!"
"Oh yeah? Okay, lets watch. Tragedy, tragedy, tragedy, tragedy, tragedy, a guy chasing away burglars, tragedy, neutral, neutral, something good, tragedy abroad, tragedy abroad, weather forecast."
"O-okay, but…"
"No, it's stupid. You don't gain anything from watching it. You don't care about politics. There's nothing in it just stuff that makes you feel bad(90% of the time) yet you keep watching it every day. The people in the tragedies are strangers to you. You'll forget it all by tomorrow(or after the programme) it's a waste of time."
And then she clumsily tried to get back at me "Why do you listen to music so much? Do you enjoy it?"
"Yes?"
So I can make ordinary folk mad very easily in the simplest of ways. Which isn't a good thing, but oh well.
Don't forget to write/post!

It'll take some time to restore everything I can. Time I don't really have next to work…
Thanks mom.

Tired, but it's my fault this time. Since I'm on break for the next few weeks, I thought I'd pick some games I'd left unfinished up again. So, I spent the whole day playing Dark Souls.

I still haven't touched my backlog. I just keep adding new games to it that I'll eventually play never.
No.10855

I love the game, but it's so annoying. I have no idea where I'm going, what I'm doing, who I am, who anyone else is, why I'm fighting, why anyone is attacking me, or what is even going on.
But like I said, I love the game. I can look past the occasional bullshit like "here's an invisible wall you'd never find through normal play" or "now you've cleared an area, it's time to go right back through it to get to the hub area".
>>10853
Without even wanting it to happen, I've ended up with the Witcher series in my backlog.
I got a code for the Witcher 3 with my new graphics card, and the first two were on sale on Steam for next to nothing, so I figured now was a good a time as any to get them.
I tried out the first game, and fuck me the controls are horrendous. Put me right off the idea of playing them, but I guess I'll get around to it sometime.

I had the same reaction when I tried the Witcher, I hated the controls and just stopped playing and never went back.

Exploration is fun.
>invisible wall
You mean an illusionary wall. Invisible would kind of ruin the purpose…
>it's time to go right back

I liked it because it felt like it had merits a lot of games lack these days. A lack of direction and freedom to take any possible route is one.
No.10858

I could cut my losses and just not play those games, especially since I've sunk less than £5 into the whole series.
>>10857
I agree with you, it's a fantastic game. I'm just an impatient fellow who gets annoyed easily. My friends think it's funny to watch me play and get annoyed at being so lost in everything.
No.10859

People seem to like the series so it might be worth it to just power through it as quickly as possible and get to the later games which have better controls. Or at least I think people say they have better controls.
