I knew a guy who tried to get me into a MLM scam called WUN (WakeUpNow). Fastforward, and not surprisingly, WUN has shut down:

In my first encounter with the WUN slave (they claimed that they were rich and made more money than both of my parents combined, but if that was the case, why are they on a college campus trying to get people to join them? I also noticed they didn't sell any actual products (they offered their slaves access to travel deals and ripoff language learning websites in exchange for a hefty fee).
Fastforward, and the same guy who tried to get me into WUN is now part of another MLM scam, called "Novae" or "Novaelife". Novae is possibly even worse than WUN, and it is founded by people who were also involved with WUN. See for yourselves what it's like: http://www.donotlink.com/gl2i
