Learn how to pirate stuff first, and try out FL studio, if you don't like it, try another DAW until you see what fits.
Learn music theory. Can't make music without music theory.
Git gud at mixing and mastering, it'll help you in the long run.
For every tutorial you watch/read, spend double that time producing. Even if it's crap, it's still producing.
Everything else will come with time and effort.

Try a midi input of some sort, guitar and other traditional means works aswell but it requires a way to have an input through a soundcard.
I would suggest doing the simpliest of things
audacity, sample, that's it.

Depending on how much of a perfectionist, you are, I would still say, that it doesn't take much more than an afternoon to make a track.

Especially when you're just messing around with it.
