Wow, early poster. I've achieved something in my life, at least.
I've always been interested in religion, in any sense of the word; I feel as if it's something that can be of great benefit, and very important to individual growth regardless of what the ultimate nature of the universe is. Of course, on the human side, the ambiguous nature makes it susceptible to people misconstruing it for self-justification of hatred and shit like that. Islam in recent years has been a hot topic, on both sides of the supposed "war of ideals".
That being said, I've seen what looks like a distinct change since this last decade hit, with a anti-hateful wave coming over the forefront of contemporary moralists, and less misinformation being thrown about. Is this a correct observation? Does it seem as if we're heading towards a period of broader unity and understanding, in the wake of topics such as ISIS, and the diminishing faith in the US government both nationally and abroad?
Also, general prejudice thread. Pic related. No matter how racist a person is, they'll never turn down a kebab.
