Luckily what I noticed from the 4U demo, they take some time to try to explain the mechanics of Hitzones. The tutorial for guns even touches on Effective Range, something that, for being so RIDICULOUSLY important for gunning effectively, was never even
mentioned in the in-game resources before.
Thankfully the tutorial in Tri U took some time to explain how armor skills work, what traps do, how to capture and what it does.
If they just included some in game tutorials on how elemental and ailment damage works on different weapons, namely that they aren't effected by normal attack modifiers, which is a really common and understandable misconception a lot of new players fall into, I think it'd make the game much easier for people to grasp.
I'm sure not everybody wants to go scouring around on forums for explanations on fundamental mechanics in a game that should just be explained to you IN GAME.
tl;dr Mechanics surrounding damage calculation (Hitzones, Element/Ailment modifiers on weapons.) need to be explained more in game rather than in ulterior resources.
