fucking hell, used the wrong pov in the last bit, sorry I'm getting tired
>I wake up to find myself in my room, wait what am I doing in here?
>I start to recall last night, when I notice that Lily is still lying asleep on top of me. It seems I didn't turn in my sleep, much to my relief.
>I look out the window and notice while it's lighter outside it's still raining fairly hard, but the lightning has stopped so that's good. Looking at my phone I notice it's 6:30 am.
>My slight shifting seems to have stirred Lily from her sleep, I feel a bit regretful for waking her up.
>"Good morning Lily, did you sleep well?"
>She yawns, a tiny adorable yawn, "Yeah… wait, what are you doing here? Why am I on top of you? Did you take advantage of me!?" A look of shock and realization on her face.
>I start to panic, this is a terrible misunderstanding, "I-I uh It's not like that at all you came in-"
>"ANON!" Lily interrupts, "I'm just joking with you." Her warm smile returning.
>Oh thank god, who knows what could have happened if that went south, I'm not familiar with fairy magic, but I'm pretty sure I couldn't stand up to it, at least if my grandmother is right.
>"A-anyways, Anon, I'm sorry about last night I didn't mean to intrude on you. It was pretty rude of me to act that familiar with you when we barely know each other." She gives a nervous frown.
>"Don't worry about it, you were scared, no need to apologize." I look out the window, taking note of the storm. "Why don't I make us some breakfast?
>Lily's stomach "meows"
>"I'll take that as a yes."
>I make some eggs and sausage with a bowl of oatmeal, and set it on the kitchen table, taking small amounts from your breakfast and putting them on a small plate for Lily.
>She look's at your fork and attempts to pick it up, she succeeds but with her straining it's obvious this isn't going to work.
>I get an idea and open my liquor cabinet again, and grab a small container of hor d'oeuvre forks left over from a party I had… that was about 4 years ago… most of my family and friends moved away and I haven't made any new ones since…
>You hand her the tiny plastic two pronged fork to Lily, while still a bit large for silverware, is at least small and light enough for her to eat with.
>She stabs her food with the fork and starts eating heartily. With her mouth still full, "This is great Anon! You can really cook well!"
>My cheeks warm at the compliment, "Well, when you live by yourself, you get sick of prepackaged food so I taught myself how to cook like my Mom used to."
>Her face darkened a bit, but quickly went back to her cheerful self.
>"So Lily, tell me about yourself, we don't get many monster folk around here, and I've never actually met a fairy before."
>"Well I live in the woods, about 4 hours flight from here, I live by myself as well." Her eyes droop, betraying her smile before perking back up again, "Well not completely alone, the bunnies are very nice, they let me ride on their back sometimes! I can't do that for too long though, the way they bound so quickly make me a bit sick, too bumpy, not like flying."
>I chuckle imagining a little fairy gripping onto a bunny for dear life while it runs through the woods.
>"They're not very good conversation though." She sighs wistfully, "It's actually nice to have someone else to talk to though." Her smile could melt glaciers
>She start digging at the oatmeal with her fork, with some difficulty before shrugging and burying her face in the grainy mush, "Sorry, I'll just clean up after eating this real quick." She says sheepishly with her face covered in oats.
>I give a polite smile, her lack of table manners a bit unnerving given her dainty appearance.
>I assist her turning on the sink where she wipes off her face, revealing an approving smile, which I've noticed has become pretty infectious.
>Still groggy, I go to the counter and start preparing a pot of coffee, I can't really start the day until I've had way too many cups of coffee
>Lily flies over and gives me a curious look as I open the coffee tin, "What's that?" she sniffs deeply, "It smells amazing!"
>"It's coffee, it helps wake you up." I tell her, as she reaches a tiny hand and grabs some of the grounds before licking the brown grit off her hand.
>She lets out a loud, "BLEH" and and coughs out the grounds while her face scrunches up, "Why would you EAT that?"
