It may be just me, but with how the Basilisk is designed, I see more her as a flirty bellydancer, like pic related.
It's the purple and gold in her design, and not to mention her exposed torso. Her mask doesn't hurt either, due to its ornate design, and masks' ability to give their wearers a mysterious atmosphere about them.
Kind of ironic, considering how her actual description makes her seem on the shy side.
