Already making something with an elf but no actual smut. Won't be for a while.

Long as this is the elf thread, I'm about to simultaneously go both anti-/tg/ and /tg/ here. Elves make my dick diamonds. I am driven by my instinct as a human man to travel the world as a warrior and impregnate a stacked elf and make her loving, submissive waifu. I'll go further to say that elves can be done well. But jesus fuck do I hate mary sue elves. The ones in OP are strike me as an example. Tall, pretty, live long, magical, dindu nuffin, etc. Need to give your fantasy races flaws proper flaws, gents.

I swear to fucking god that better not be a doujin where they kill or /cuteboy/ the dude and then mindbreak the loli and MILF. Not a fan of male elves and I like the idea of making an elf my dick's humble caretaker but holy fuck not like this.

Remember, there are three simple things to do to keep your elf happy. Bully her, give her the dick, and give that knife-eared bitch plenty of tender love and care.

You are correct.

According to Zelda lore, Hylians are just humans with elvish ears and magic infused blood.

Many times Hylians are referred to as humans in some games. They are an offshoot of baseline humans descendant from Skyward Zelda. Hylians are mortal and there are masculine men among their race with the exception of Link as opposed to the immortal effeminate elves.

Magic infused blood is only good for abilities like telepathy (According to ALTTP), use of Magical items and spells (Link's Magic Meter).

Since Hylians are simply another kind of human, I guess Princess Zelda is technically not a monster girl.

Mary sue races in general are fucked. Monster girls approach that for me, but the fact that they can get very single minded about finding a husband, and the fact that they basically have to make an effort to not breed humans out of existence, gives them some general flaws that are nice. The various ones also have some flaws that help.

I do think the basic concepts of elves have potential if done properly, they aren't the worst mary sue race I've seen, but people don't do anything interesting with the concepts. I'm a bit biased towards dark elves thanks to Morrowind leaving a bit of an impression when I was younger, though, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

I like how at first glance Tolkien elves come off as mary sues but the more you read, especially things like the silmarillion, it become apparent they're very much like humans and it's just experience that comes from millennia of life that makes them appear like that.
