It starts with a comforting, gentle pressure on the top of your head. Just as you start to feel the warmth of his hand seep through your hair, his fingers tense slightly and press against your sensitive scalp, sending little tingles through your face and down your spine. This alone would be comforting, but then his hand starts to move, pressing the flat of his broad palm down while his fingers mischeviously part and disrupt the strands wherever they pass. The pressed hair tugs against your scalp while the disturbed hair wiggles against it a little. Your carefully-bushed hair is being mussed but you find yourself not minding, it's too comforting and besides, you feel completely safe. As his hand drags back and forth, catching a slightly different bit each time, you occasionally find a happy sigh leaking out of your lips without you knowing it.
When he's finished and lifts his hand away, the feeling lingers for a moment, then it slowly drains away. You miss it. Your hair's mussed up - you should fix it. But for some reason you don't, nor do you think about it again. Perhaps, somewhere inside, you want to keep the reminder of his touch upon you.
That's a headpat, Anon.
