Early 2000's aesthetic is just techno music videos made with FruityLoops 4.0 and tween-heavy flash animation and "sleek" electronics that are paradoxically 5 times larger than 90's electronics because they're all shaped like spheres.

I think S3RL nails the old '02-05 sound pretty well. "2000's vaporwave" would just be a clusterfuck of square waves slowed down to a snail-paced 300 BPM
