Music is for normies and normies don't use chans (unless you post on /mu/, then you're a normie). Really I think it's because music is harder to have as a main hobby since it's not a visual medium, so it's less attractive than video gays or television because you have to actually focus and actively listen to be able to criticize it and discuss it, if you listen to anything other than pop music.
