I wrote a tool that lists off an artists genres so I wouldn't have to dig through Wikipedia and all the disambiguation stuff just to find them, thought it would come in handy for you guys.

Never heard of most of these genres

Also anything with a space in requires the words after the space to be capitalised

I should have just condensed all this into a single post. I think any genre with a hyphen is omitted from results, try any band that's post-punk or post-rock for example. Since Joy Division are only listed as post-punk they don't even show.

>>98348

the reason this happens is because it doesn't take references into account (band in question was Talk Talk)

>>98349

the reason this happens is because of the way Wikipedia URLs work

It's a nice idea though.

Don't mean to be a dick, but doesn't RYM do the same thing with artist pages?

Not /tech/ approved.

Yeah I don't like Javascript either, but CGI? Really?

Yeah pretty much, this gives more immediate feedback though which is nice.

>I think any genre with a hyphen is omitted from results

Thanks for this, I'm uploading the fix right now.

>the reason this happens is because it doesn't take references into account

>Also anything with a space in requires the words after the space to be capitalised

I'll take a closer look at these two later.

What's your argument? CGI's only problem is the cost of spawning the executable, which is why fastCGI and SCGI exist.
