So I want to start producing Future Bass but I don't completely get the structure and chord progressions any tips?

4a6561 No.207

Step 1: Listen to a lot of the genre you want to create.
Step 2: Create songs based on what you listened to.
Step 3: ????
Step 4: Profit.

Thanks man I already know basic music theory, and im used to produce in tempos like 100, 110 and 128 but not 140

I'm used to 150bpm, so to practice I just grabbed tracks of a lower bpm, synced it up, then lowered them to like, 20 bpm and studied the structure. I was absolute shit with drum rhythm so this helped alot, then after copying it I bumped it back up to 150

Reverse engineering helps a lot when working in new bpms

Tip that only I seem to know. Flume uses synplant vst. Hell he uses default fucking sounds.

A tune I made using sunplant. Your fucking welcome

Another Pro Tip: Throw everything you know about music theory out the fucking window. If you are so bad at writing music that you need to follow someone else's "guidlines" then whats the point of writing music.

>Feel the next note.

If the note feels off then it is off.
>Not every song needs a fucking bass line/drums/vocals.
I get that you are making 'beats' but I get sick off people saying BRETTY GUD BUT THERE ISNT ANY BASS
>If you like it someone else will.
Be confident in what you make.

Pro-Pro-Tip: fake it till you make it

1.- Chill
2.- Bass music without bass? I get your point, but a genre with the name bass in it should have some sort of bassline don't you think? It doesn't have to be bass heavy
3.- Im down to discuss, but lets be polite

This is what I've been producing, I don't like posting stuff that is unfinished so it is a really small preview
