I am thinking about getting a Korg Electribe, do you guys think it is worth it? I played around with a Maschine Mikro for a bit, but I did not like it much. I figure this will be a much better deal since it is a complete package and it has the King Korg engine in it, so I can use it like a synth if I like.

Whats the price at?

>>354You can get one for $400 if you pre-order it now, after that they are $550 I think.

>>355so is this more for live performance, or synthesis?

>>356I was planning on using it for a little bit of both. Writing stuff when I am out or just don't want to be at the computer or using it to make some quick basic sounds when I feel they would fit. However, I have been giving it some thought and I don't really want it as much as I did. I have been looking at the full sized Maschine (not the studio) and it looks way better than the Mikro, so I am considering getting that now. The only downside is it has to be chained to a computer. It also comes with a full version of Massive which is a huge plus.

>>357Whats the difference between the two? more power for the Maschine?
63964c No.362
>>358The Maschine has more power and flexibility than the Electribe. The only advantages to the Electribe is you don't need a computer, it has a built in synth engine and it can export directly to Ableton.

>>362Well it really depends if you are always behind a computer or not. for me the maschine would be better, since i dont live perform.

>>364I gave it a lot of thought and I grabbed a used Maschine for $400. I think one of the big reasons I was considering an Electribe is because of the "cool" factor.
