I am going to buy a violin, but I really don't know what to buy…I just want a violin that will play deep tones. Are there violins that play different pitches?

Are you buying one just to learn how to play? I'm considering doing this but I don't know if there's any chance of becoming proficient without a teacher.

Also, don't be a pleb. Buy a Hardanger fiddle.

yes.

And of course it's possible to learn how to play by yourself! Look at Lindsey Stirling. She said that her family was poor when she was young and that they could hardly afford more than one lesson per so-and-so times. Her instructor said "it's going to be impossible for her to learn anything at this pace", but it was possible for her to being good enough to become a millionaire.

It's possible.

Consider yourself buying a viola instead, it is slightly bigger than violin but it has a deeper tones than a violin.

Also just a warning, NSFW pics MUST be spoilered.

if you plan on solo play, consider getting synthetic strings over steelcore, they sound much warmer

also you can buy a cherub violin pickup for about 5 dollars if you want to do some recording

It's technically possible, but practically not if you lack a non-forced passion for it. Doesn't have to be strong, but it has to be something you enjoy doing and something you enjoy actively working on getting better at.
