Trying to choose a DAW? Ask me, I've used all of the ones in pic related.

From left to right;

- Reason 5

- Recycle (Not a DAW)

- Record 1.5

- ReBirth

- Reaper

- FL Studio

- Ableton Live 9 Suite

- OpenMPT

- Steinberg Sequel 3

Which is your favorite and why?

That's tough; My favorite of all time is Reaper. It's simple, easy to use, and comes with some handy plugins.

I hate when people tout FL Studio as being really simple and the best for beginners, Reaper is way easier

I just suspect that beginners aren't as patient and will appreciate the UI of FL, especially the ease of use of the piano roll.

Reaper is also hands down my favorite DAW, but I wouldn't say it's exactly user friendly. Not out the box. The menus and options are fucking massive. It can be pretty daunting to look at. The thing is, Reaper is by far the most customization program I have ever seen. If you take the time to set it up to your workflow, it can BECOME the most user-friendly DAW of all time, but I wouldn't say it comes that way.

Reaper is my favorite

didn't enjoy using Ableton Live and Ignite (which came with a thing I bought) was just a piece of shit

Reaper was my first DAW

It took some time to learn but I was patient

as someone who has tried fl, reaper, and abelton, i gotta say i stuck with abelton just for session view. i used reaper extensively but i haven't used arrangement in so long now. being able to just play on top of a loop in a matter of seconds is sublime.

I was looking into cubase and nuendo. I wanted to know what there is about it and if it's worth the money. I have a good amount of plugins to go with it, and I can easily torrent it. Is it worth it though?

Is there a torrent out for cubase 8? I can't find any
